Lucas and Claus's different hair: why?

Despite being twins, Lucas and Claus have different hair color. why? Although the official explanation is that Itoi wanted them to be easy to tell apart,' it's possible to have an explanation that isn't too weird. There are the hypotheses:

1. They are fraternal twins that look very alike. Fraternal twins do not have the same DNA and are more like normal siblings. They can look very alike, but in Claus and Lucas' case, they looked very alike, with hair color as a difference.

2. They are identical twins, but either Claus' hair color genes failed to turn on (and therefore, should have been blond) or Lucas' hair color genes failed to turn on (making him redheaded). This is a result of environmental factors and is the reason why sometimes two blue eyed parents have a brown-eyed child; something caused the gene to turn on rather than stay turned off. In Lucas and Claus' case, for one of the twins, a gene either failed to turn on or failed to turn off, causing different hair colors.

3. Lucas and Claus have the same hair color, and one of them dies their hair. It is more likely that Claus is blond and dies his hair red rather than Lucas being redheaded and dying his hair blond because it is easier for blond hair to dye than red hair (which is the hardest hair color to dye). If Lucas were a redhead, he would also have to bleach his hair for the effect to be permanent. It is just easier for the simple Tazmilians to dye Claus' possibly blond hair rather than Lucas' hypothetical red hair.

4. One of them wear wigs. Not plausible, but hey, it could happen.
