September 12, 2009: Blech

Finally, an update! Well, I dug through my fanfiction.net account, revised some of my old fanfics, and can now provide you with this: the official fanfiction page. It's all Paper Mario up to now, but maybe in the future~.

September 2, 2009: I'm very sorry

I'm not dead. I'll be blunt and say that I simply haven't had the time to update this site. Don't consider it a dead site, however. Not even for a minute. Hopefully, I'll be able to update on the weekend with some of the things I had planned. Man, I miss summer already.

August 21, 2009: Freedom slipping away

School starts soon, so don't expect many updates. However, I present to you the Pokemon theme in 26+ languages. It has a link to almost every version of the Pokemon theme. Enjoy.

August 14, 2009: Redesign'd!

I have re-organized the whole website. Don't notice anything? Well, I fixed Boney Style to look better, I fixed up some invalid HTML, and put everything in folders. There is also a neat little breadcrumb trail on each page that tells you the organization of the pages. I went through all the pages and fixed some stuff up. A new page should be up later today, so rejoice in the redesign!

Also, Rotom's Status as a (non)legendary is looked into on this new page. I quite like it.

August 6, 2009: Glitchalicious

Game is mostly all planned out; all that's left is the actual coding, which is what will probably take more time. In the meantime, take a loot at this page about EarthBound 0's glitches. I found researching it quite interesting. :o

August 1, 2009: I'm Still Alive

I'm still coding for the site; don't worry. I'm making a big game for the site, and hopefully you'll all enjoy it.

July 27, 2009: Coding the Masochism Tango

Masochistic is exactly what coding Boney Style to work in other browsers is. My god, Netscape just mauled my layout... but fear not! Netscape, Safari, and Google Chrome users may now rejoice as Boney style now works on all of those browsers.

Oh, and my site works in the text-only Lynx browser, as well. :) Now if only I could make that XHTML Valid...

July 26, 2009: Nothing's gonna stop us now

Hey there guys! I provide for youse two pages: a Hairy Mystery, which is a page about why Lucas and Claus have different hair colors despite being twins, and Old Chateau, your to-go page on the Old Chateau, with pictures! If only I had a Paper Mario page, the trilogy would be complete... :(

You may have noticed that I also changed Boney style around so that it's not so boring. Now it has this cute little Boney in a Pig Mask that I drew in the bottom-left, and the headings and quotes now have their own little images and backgrounds.

July 25, 2009: We are now with Magypsy

MOTHER 3 fans will know that there's quite a bit of stuff out there concerning the Magypsies, their names, and the symbolism behind them. Well, this article collects all that stuff and wraps it up nicely.

EDIT: All of you better print something using that style because I spent the whole day fixing it. I have a headache now.

July 24, 2009: Print it!

Yo yo yo, we got da Printer-friendly style workin' in da hizzouse. Word to yo motha'. Ok, now that my 'gangsta' phase is over, here you go: a printer friendly style. You can switch to it, print and have your page come out all nice and clean without the navigation. Of course, if you decide that only content is for losers, you can certainlly choose any of the other styles. Have fun with it. Next up: making this site better for the visually impaired, the hearing impaired, and the computer-impaired (or should I say, the poor souls forced to browse with *shiver* mobile phone).

On a spree! On Hiatus + Fads, because I had this funny feeling there would be a new fad in the Pokemon world eventually. Applies to all websites, actually.

July 22, 2009: Stylish

New style - Boney style! It's a drop-down. Slight problem in Opera and Firefox, but I'll try and fix it as quickly as possible. Also updated Pokemon across the World. I'm on an updating spree~

July 21, 2009: We all live in a Pokemon world...

Pokemon across the world is that article I promised youse yesterday. ;) Have fun with it! It took a while to write, believe it or not, because it had to be sourced. I wouldn't want to be making empty accusations at innocent countries, right?

As for what's next... um, I'm not sure.

July 20, 2009: Review it

Guide to Reviewing. Why did I make this? Well, the first review I ever made (it was on the old Critter Cryptics site) for a game, Ruby and Sapphire, was... horrendous. And, well, the stupid reviews at GameFAQs bothered me enough for me to do something about it.

I'm making a splash that hopefully will make a splash. If my karma is cool enough, then the universe will permit me to finish by the end of the day. Here's a sneak peak for a new page: Pokemon around the world...

EDIT: Hurray! Said splash was completed! Unfortunately, I couldn't find a website that would properly preserve it as a Flash file (I intended it to be a Flash file) and my browser freaked and claimed I didn't had a plug-in which I had, so unfortunately I had to replace it with the inferior GIF file. :( If you want to see the original file, copy and paste this (http://www.freewebs.com/crittercryptics/introblimp.swf) into your URL. For some reason, I am not allowed to link directly to this file, as clicking on it as a link redirected me to this page. :? If you have any idea how to fix this so that I can show the Flash file on my page (or at least somewhere else where it won't look so bad), please contact me.

July 17, 2009: Yo

Back from Canada! No French games, unfortunately. I'm going to do some more clean up before adding the new pages.

July 5, 2009: Good-bye

I'm going to Canada for a week tomorrow, so don't expect any updates. I have a bunch of pages in-progress, but most important here: I updated the Contact Me page with my new e-mail. The old one was incorrect, so if you have any comments, criticisms, affiliation requests, etc., send them again!

I also have a new page: The Venonat-Butterfree Connection. It discusses a hypothesis of mine that Venonat was planned to evolve into Butterfree and has pictures!

Well, goodbye. :) Hope you had a nice American Independence Day yesterday, and a good Canadian independence day on July 1st.

June 30, 2009: Revamp

I'm not sure you noticed, but I went through every page in this website and spruced them up. I made the headings uniform. I also redid Shadow Queen style to be less boring. A visitor commented that since this is The Red Blimp, we should have a red style. As such, I am making a red style which shall be the default style. I also updtated Site History to have examples of the old versions of this site.

EDIT: July 2, 2009: Oh yeah, forgot to tell you all: we have two new affiliates! Pikachu's Plaza and Ditto's Docks. check 'em out!

June 27, 2009: To Canada!

I'm going to Canada (Montreal, to be specific) in a week or two. Bad news? Yes! The good news is that I have a bunch of pages which I'd like to get done before then: there's this spriting guide which covers Pokemon, Paper Mario, and EarthBound, a shop guide for those three series, and a site exclusive in the form of the Super Jump: a weird technique for Paper Mario 2 found through hacking. Of course, I may find some French games in Canada, and I may write back about them ;). Bon nuit!

June 5, 2009: Stuff

Exams have been eating up most of my time. Hopefuly, during the summer, I'll be able to do more stuff. One thing I've been thinking of is more language things, but this time for Pokemon.

May 14: Linguaphiles, Unite!

Yes, I wrote something. This is something that, as far as I am aware, is unique to this site: Language Changes between the European versions of Paper Mario 2. It covers Spanish, German, French and Italian, as well as explaining the puns in the names. This page is one that will be updated as I find more information.

April 26: It's Electric

I finally went to an 'event' yesterday and got the secret key. Since the event ended today, I decided to write an article on the Secret Key so that those who were unable to get the Secret Key can see what it had to offer.

April 17: Speak to me

Pokemon speech is the latest page, and it's my idea of why Pokemon can only say their name from a linguistic standpoint. I'm not *the language expert* or anything, but that's as plausible an explanation I could come up with using my limited knowledge. :p Hopefully, I'll be able to make more theorizing articles like this.

April 8: Back again

The Mother OST review has been updated, and I've done some general site maintenance, fixing stuff here and there.

March 19: Ms. Fix-it at your service

I fixed a whole bunch of pages with incorrect information and bad spelling. I also added a new, Pokemon-related Page: Hey You, Pikachu! It's a game that, sadly enough, seems to lack information. I hope to update it often since it seems that most Hey You, Pikachu pages are outdated or lack things.

Wow, it's been exactly two months since the last update. That's quite a coincidence.

There is bad news... I fiddled around with the CSS styles and now the affiliates bar appears improperly in Shadow Queen Style and Togepi Style. I'll work to fix it as fast as I can, but it may take some time considering my previosu attempts have been useless.

Hmm. Well, at least the website's finally coming back. Prepare yourself (or not, if you don't feel like preparing) for Pokemon, Paper Mario, and EarthBound content - at the same time.

January 19, 2009: whoa

I have a good reason for not updating and for the sudden name change! This website, which was formerly known as Critter Cryptics, shall from henceforth be known as The Red Blimp. Why?
Some domain parking thing bought the Critter Cryptics domain and so I either had to pick a new name, pay around $100 per year for the domain, or not have a domain until the end of the year. I was eager to get the site up, so after much time and many failed names, I came up with the Red Blimp. Blimps look like balloons, and there are balloons in Pokemon, EarthBound, and there's even a blimp in Paper Mario. There it is.

I'll admit that I don't have any new pages up, but I do have much content planned, especially for Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door and Mother 3. Perhaps Platinum will get something as well once it's released. For now, pretend to be happy that this site is back.

October 26, 2008: Mother 3i Review

I finally did another one of my long reviews. The victim this time was Mother 3i. It's a great album, really. To get the scoop on each individual track, you'll just have to take a look.

That game? Yeah, it's on hold again. NaNoWriMo starts in a week, boys and girls! :3 I should put up the NaNo from 2006... my next goal: make fanfiction page and do something for Pokemon.

October 19, 2008: Mother 3 Fan Translation Released!

YES. After two years of waiting, Tomato, Jeffman, and the rest have finally finished this long-awaited translation. I wanted to have something special for when the translation was done, but no. :(

October 6, 2008: Ah, music.

I finally figured out the chords to Pollyanna, and they can be found here. Fun, no? Through some stroke of luck, the chords I found were in the same key as the version on the Famicom! If you want to play along, I also found the tempo. Feel free to jam. If you want an mp3, I'm certain you can find one at Starmen or perhaps Galbadia Hotel. Yeah, that's all, folks. G'night, everybody.

September 30, 2008: More controversy!

This site is, in part, a Paper Mario site. Therefore, it should follow that there is Paper Mario content. Behold! a page discussing the gender of Vivian! "Ooh, trivial." I guess it is. Some people are really fired up on this issue, though. I guess if you don't know where you stand on the debate of Vivian's gender, you could take a look at this page and see which side you agree with and stuff. It even features gender neutral pronouns! :o If you don't know or care about those, don't worry. It's not like they're a subsection of the article or something.

September 21, 2008: Minor Update of doom

I updated the glitches page for Paper Mario. I found a glitch for SMRPG. Lame update? Yes. The game is still being worked on. I'm too lazy to finish the images. I was thinking about making videos of how to combo in Mother 3... maybe some Pokemon Diamond/Pearl stuff. School has been hitting hard. I was also thinking about doing NaNoWriMo. 'Write a novel in a month'! Second half of my novel, here we go (and no, I don't care if the rules discourage it).

September 12, 2008: Hurrah, Mother 3 stuff!

There shouldn't be any spoilers on the new page detailing the Mother 3 Sound Player. I wanted to include a list of every song on there with translated names, but I don't know Japanese, don't recognise all the songs, and was really tired looking through 250 tracks for songs I liked/ knew. Either way, there are a bunch of variations of the Pig Mask theme, so that effectively clears up 1/3 of the songs. :P Nah, just kidding.

I want to bring back something I loved from the old site... hint: it's a game. I am trying to incorporate both Pokemon, Paper Mario, and EarthBound into it so anyone who likes at least one of those series can recognise an area, characters, and generally be happy. I've already got some parts of it done, but it's still in the works. Also, I've really been writing a lot of Mother stuff lately. Pokemon and Paper Mario are, well, rather neglected. Hopefully, once I finish the game, that will all will be changed. ;)

Edit: In response to a startling problem involving Togepi Style and Internet Explorer 7, I have made a page detailing the style-switcher. It describes the styles and lists any possible compatability errors with browsers. There is a huge problem with Togepi Style in IE7, as mentioned: the normal lists don't show up unless the content is hovered over. This make reading a chore, and on mobile phones, it's pretty impossible. I'm trying to fix this, so bear with me...

September 5, 2008: I'm sorry

I'm sorry that I haven't updated anything. I wrote a page, but I don't like it and I'm trying to revise it. There's a game I've been thinking of making, but I no longer have the software for it. Bear with me - I'm going to get something up over the weekend.

September 1, 2008: Happy Labor Day~

That Pokemon and EarthBound section is finally up. Say hello to Pokebound! "What," the visitor asked, "could that be?" It's the similarities between Pokemon and EarthBound. Wow, so special! So risque! Let's give me a big round of applause! ... Nah, I'm just kidding. :P I got some photos today of Pokemon merchandise and the Mini-magazine from the 10th anniversary, but the device to connect the storage card for the camera to the computer is currently not working, and the one I thought would work is for a different type of storage card. As soon as I can get that device, expect a page on Pokemon stuff in general (and hopefully some things unique to this site!).

August 29, 2008: Subliminal Messages...

There was a discussion on an EarthBound forum on Mother 3 being technology vs nature. I disagreed, and I wrote an article. It's like NoA and mother, but not as rambly. I'm gonna try to get the Spanish site up to date over the weekend, so stay tuned. ;)

August 22, 2008: Paper Mania

Paper Mario finally got its section. I've never found out where the idea to make Mario Paper came from, so here's some theories. Yes, the EarthBound and Pokemon thing is still in the works.

August 21, 2008: Blame the government

There's nothing new to update with. Sorry. D: School has started and I can't stay up late working on pages like I did in the summer. If the update gap grows, you know that you can blame wither school or laziness.

August 18, 2008: It's quite musical

I created an Earth Bound 0 section. I moved the Mother OST page there, and added a new page, chords. Yeah, this is mostly an update for the music-lovers. I'm trying to get up another page, involving EarthBound and Pokemon (at the same time! :O). The poor Paper Mario section is crying now. Don't worry, Paper Mario fans, I'll get a page up for that soon as well.

I tweaked the styles a bit. Shadow Style should now work regardless of resolution or browser you're using. If not, well, tell me so I can go crazy trying to fix it again. :P

August 15, 2008

This is news, and this is crazy news - this website has started existing again! Yes, this website sort of died in 2007 after the great crash of 2007. Great crashes are not fun, no? Most of the content was lost, which isn't fun either. All the Javascript games aren't here anymore. Old visitors will see that I've added an EarthBound section - I'm not selling out or turning this into a Nintendo site or something, but I really wanted to write about EarthBound, considering how there are almost no good EarthBound sites out there. Yes, the Paper Mario section has only two pages. I know. However, that will be fixed soon.

I'll update whenever I have content available. Simple, right? I have to get rid of most of my affiliates because they no longer exist. D: I've got to rewrite some boring pages, too. At least the site is back.
