Styleswitcher

Above that header is the style switcher. You can pick the style sheet you want to be applied to the site, and it will apply to each page you go to, if you have cookies enabled. If you don't like the colors of one style, you can pick another. If you don't like the navigation, you can pick a different style with different navigation.

Shadow Queen Style

This was the first style made for the new layout of Critter Cryptics, way back in 2007 when the old site still existed. This is a purple thing. The menu used to have little vine-like things, but the image hosting service was messed up and so the image no longer exists. This style works well in Internet explorer 6, Internet explorer 7, Opera 9.51, and Firefox 3. It appears to work well in Mobile browsers as well.

Giygas Style

This is my favorite style. It is based off the Giygas fight in EarthBound. The colors of the sprites have been changed to be more friendly on the eyes, but otherwise, the sprites are unchanged. They are from spriter's resource. This is a red/black style, with white font. It works well in the browsers listed for Shadow Queen style.

Togepi Style

I tried to be creative for this. It was supposed to be a horizontal menu with a drop-down, but I couldn't get a horizontal menu to appear. Eventually, I decided to have a drop-down vertical menu. This is a pastel style, and it's easy on the eyes.

This style does not show up properly in Internet Explorer 6 and 7! The drop-down doesn't work and the menu is on the wrong side. However, the worst part is that for some reason, the regular list menus are affected as well, resulting in lists that don't show up unless you hover over the content, in which case they appear but can't be read since they are above other text. I am working on fixing this, but have been unsuccessful so far. I apologize to users of Internet Explorer for this whacked-out style (however, you could save me a headache and use something other than Internet Explorer 6. I think this might be fixable in Internet Explorer 7, but 6... yeah. :/

Boney Style

This style works better in bigger screens, but that doesn't mean you lower resolution folks can't have fun with this! This one was a headache to work properly. I wanted to do it for a while (see Duplighost style) Does not work in Netscape Navigator (but then again, nobody uses that anyway). Unfortunately, there's a slight problem in Opera and Firefox, but I'm certain it can be fixed soon. I like this style, quite a bit. Hey Giygas style, watch out!

Printer-Friendly Style

Not truly a style, but here nonetheless: Printer-friendly style is a style that works great if you are printing something off this site. Do people print stuff off this site? I don't know, but now they can feel well knowing that they can share (or maybe burn - please don't burn my site :( ) the Red Blimp in paper form.

Styles that never came to be:
Duplighost style was created to test the styleswitcher back in 2007. It was a white style. I wanted to make it more than a palette swap and tried to have a drop-down menu. This failed miserably, and the style looked really bad, no matter what your browser of choice was. The drop-down for this was used in Togepi style.
